About Sahithi
My name is Sahithi, and I am an A Level student studying English Literature, with a strong academic passion for language, literature, and critical thinking. Beyond my studies, I enjoy reading widely and exploring philosophy, which has helped me develop a deeper understanding of texts, themes, and ideas—skills that are essential for success in English. I chose to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students reach their full potential, especially those who may lack confidence or feel that English is difficult. I strongly relate to students who struggle, as I once found aspects of English challenging myself. Through consistent effort, effective techniques, and the right guidance, I was able to significantly improve and achieve a final outstanding grade in English Literature/Language. This personal journey allows me to explain concepts clearly and in ways that truly make sense to students. I am committed to creating a supportive, structured, and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence, analytical ability, and enjoyment of English.

My online lessons are 1 hour and 30 minutes long, typically held 2–3 times per week, depending on the student’s goals, availability, and confidence level. This length allows enough time to explore content in depth while still keeping lessons engaging and focused. As an A Level English Literature student, I have strong subject knowledge and have achieved excellent grades in English Language and Literature throughout my studies. I have experience tutoring friends, family members, and younger students in one-to-one sessions throughout school, helping them improve essay structure, understanding of texts, and exam confidence. My lessons are designed for GCSE students and lower-year secondary students who want to improve their skills in English Language and/or English Literature. Teaching techniques and methodology: • Personalised learning – lessons are adapted to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and exam board • Step-by-step essay planning – breaking essays into clear, manageable structures • Active discussion and questioning – encouraging students to explain ideas to build confidence and clarity • Model answers and annotation practice – analysing high-level responses to understand what examiners want • Past papers and exam-style questions used regularly • Mini mock tests throughout the course to track progress and build exam technique • Clear feedback and targets after each session so students know exactly how to improve My aim is to make English less intimidating, more structured, and more enjoyable, while helping students feel confident and prepared for exams.
