About Heather
I am an A-Level Student at a Sixth Form College, and have maintained a fervent passion for English and reading throughout my primary and high school experiences. I would love to tutor to help students attain the love and respect I have for books and literature, and further to develop their knowledge as a student and in terms of writing and understanding the analytical process of English Literature. As a student myself, I can understand and connect with GCSE students and high school students, ensuring my lessons are interesting and worthwhile. Teaching English Literature has been a huge aspiration for me and to be able to help students to understand the subject I am so passionate about would be an honour.

I can tutor any GCSE English Literature and/or Language students, achieving Grade 9s in both subjects, alongside Grades 7-9 in all other subjects I took. My lessons will be interactive and engaging, alongside accessible for all students, with the ability to improve grades and nurture passion for English subjects. For my GCSE’s, I studied Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls, Love and Relationships Poetry and A Christmas Carol and I am currently studying A Streetcar Named Desire at A-level, but I am able to support students with any texts/ course aspects needed. My lessons can be anything between 30mins- 2 hours depending on your requirements/ needs and I will ensure to develop literary skills and knowledge of academic writing style, alongside the texts studied.
