About George
Hi, I'm George, an A-level graduate currently doing a gap year. Last summer achieved 4A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry. I'm currently tutoring in the A-levels I took. I achieved 97% in my further maths A-level and 98% in organic chemistry. Last year I earned Top gold in the British physics olympiad and got an offer to read physics at Imperial. I love to help people in their studies and pass down the methods that me and my classmates used to get the top grades.

I break down complicated ideas using simple analogies and methods that helped me achieve 4 A*s and helped my peers perform to the best of their ability. I found that focusing on a deep understanding of the subjects can really accelerate the learning process and is crucial for the problem-solving style of A-levels where unfamiliar questions often appear. We'll work through exam-style questions together focusing on the thinking process and how to avoid common mistakes. At the end of every lesson we'll do a set of carefully chosen questions matched to the student's level to build exam technique "muscle memory". I can set homework and provide short feedback to build consistency which is particularly useful for students aiming for top grades.

George was a friend from school who ended up tutoring me for A-level Maths, and honestly he was such a big help. I went from a B to an A* with his support. He’s really good at explaining stuff in a way that actually makes sense, and he never made me feel bad for not getting something straight away.
