I specialise in helping primary school pupils improve their reading comprehension, text analysis, and summarising skills. My lessons focus on teaching students how to identify key ideas, understand an author’s purpose, and break down questions effectively, as understanding the question is often the first step towards finding the answer.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs and areas for improvement. We work through texts together, exploring meaning, vocabulary, and themes in a way that encourages independent thinking and builds confidence. Lessons typically include guided reading, comprehension activities, summarising exercises.
As an avid reader with a passion for literature and poetry, I enjoy helping children develop both their academic skills and their confidence as learners. My experience as a private tutor and primary school teaching assistant has given me a strong understanding of how to support pupils at primary school level.
