About LESLIE
I am an artist and writer. I only do abstract art on large or small canvas. I use bright colors and shapes, and acrylic paint and paper mosaic. I have a technique for preparing for art that gets the individual into their subconscious mind in order to increase expression through art so one can paint like a child, Picasso's words. I used to do this technique with work groups when I was a technical writer and project manager for the Federal government. My education consists of a double BS major in Philosophy and Psychology, and an MS in Technical Communication. I am currently getting certified in art therapy. This class is for anyone, especially those who think they are not creative.

About the lesson

Students will get a canvas, colorful acrylic paint (three or four colors) and paint brushes. I will lead them on a guided meditation taking them back to childhood or a time they consider to be special. There they will begin to access their creativity and learning to paint with impressions of their subconscious mind and paint like a child!!! Its awesome and relaxing.
