About Maxine
I am a humble student and teacher of life/education. I have worked in the transport industry for 11 years. I am an Art and Social Science graduate. I majored in Media with Cultural studies & minored in Creative Writing. I love all things humanities and science (although non-social science is a 2nd foreign language to me!).

For those who's first language is and is not English, I will organise a programme of reading materials, which we can both read. I will then have you write up answers related to questions derived from what's been read; in order to review and develop reading and writing skills. I am flexible with whatever text/medium you wish to read from. Happy to offer suggestions based on your needs/interests.

Under 16 English Literature tutoring will pretty much be based on the school curriculum and homework tasks. I will guide you and ask supporting questions. I will also adopt character development techniques that encourage staying power (i.e encourage continual learning from mistakes). I will prepare materials to support additional understanding.

Essay writing organisation and structuring can be discussed either online or a quiet but public cafe/location. I will establish the topic of discussion and essay objectives. Then we will brainstorm main points of discussion/ideas/themes/patterns. I will guide and support you in identifying ways to bring these ideas together; developing clear and concise arguments/points.
