About Theophilus
I’m Theo, a Year 1 Medical Student at the University of Leeds.
At GCSE, I initially struggled to keep up in class. However, by making a few simple, strategic changes to how I studied—focusing on active recall rather than passive reading—I managed to turn things around completely and score A*s in GCSE Maths, Biology, and Chemistry.
Having navigated that journey firsthand, I know exactly what it feels like to struggle and, more importantly, how to fix it. My goal is to introduce my students to these same straightforward study methods and help them build the confidence to hit their target grades.

I don’t believe in lecturing from textbooks or passive reading. Instead, my lessons are built entirely around active recall and practice question walkthroughs.
We will actively test your memory on key concepts, and then immediately apply that knowledge to real exam questions. I will walk you through questions step-by-step to show you exactly how to break down complex problems, avoid common exam traps, and write clear answers that hit the mark scheme requirements.
