About Jason
My name is Jason. I am secondary school teacher, after leaving the biopharmaceutical industry after 8 years to pursue my dream of teaching. I am located in Dundalk and willing to travel for grinds or do online sessions. I charge €40 an hour and my subjects are Leaving Cert Biology and Chemistry and Junior Cycle Science.

As every student is different, I will work with each student to provide a tailored approach to grinds ensuring that the pace, style, and focus of the lessons suit them best.
In general though, I use a combination of clear, structured resources to present key concepts in science, biology, and chemistry, and physics followed by practical application through exam paper questions. This allows students to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter while also familiarising themselves with what is expected in the exams.
By guiding students through the marking schemes, I help them recognise patterns, understand how to structure their answers, and gain insight into how marks are allocated. This ensures they not only grasp the material but also develop the skills needed to succeed in their exams.

I found Jason here on Superprof and organised chemistry grinds with him. He straight away got in touch and I began the grinds. Initially i had very little understanding of chemistry but through weekly grinds with Jason i have now got a great understanding of the subject. Jason is a fantastic tutor. He is able to break down complex subjects to make them manageable and often pulls from his own experiences from university and the pharma industry to relate things back to real world. He is really positive and most of all patient. He won't give up on anyone.
