About Jocelyn
I began my journey in early childhood as a teenager at the age of 13. I started my own babysitting business making my own money. It was very empowering and it really made my parents proud. My mother was a in-home childcare provider and I followed in her footsteps. I have a master's degree in Early Childhood Studies and I've been in early education for 26 years.
I began Learning Through Playdates at he beginning of the Pandemic to support families locally and globally. I've had homeschool, work from home, and non-traditional families looking for other ways to provide high quality and fun education opportunities. This year my team and I aim to begin in-person playdates in the Atlanta, Ga area. I have always been an advocate for young children and youth for most of my life. In the same spirit, I want to share this gift with you!
Currently, I own my own family childcare and playdate business in Atlanta. I am a Georgia Approved trainer teaching other educators about early education and child development.

Virtual Playdates:
Live Interactive Sessions: Virtual playdates consist of live, interactive sessions led by qualified teachers. These sessions emulate a real classroom experience, fostering connections between children and educators.
Learning Philosophies: Active-hands on learning, technology, play-based, imaginative play, identity safe classrooms, social emotional learning, global learning.
Structured Curriculum: The program integrates play into a structured curriculum, combining the joy of play with intentional learning outcomes. This approach ensures that children are engaged in activities that not only entertain but also stimulate cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Digital Play Platforms: Learning Through Playdates leverages age-appropriate digital platforms to create a virtual playground for children. Through games, interactive exercises, multimedia content, and downloadable content children can explore and learn in a safe and supervised online environment.
Our curriculum is based upon monthly themes learning new concepts and ideas each month. Cosplay is welcomed! We love imagination play in our learning spaces.
