I have over 6 years of experience in education. I have worked as a tutor and teacher's assistant at the university level and as a lead English teacher at the high school level. I have also taught internationally through a Fulbright Grant; I worked as an English instructor and faculty training at a university in Lima, Peru.

I like to have freedom within boundaries. I think it is important to provide a structure while also being adaptable to the students' needs. A typical lesson would begin with an exploratory phase where we talk about needs and review work. During that time I assess whether students' needs align with their wants. After the exploration/evaluation phase, then we work on instruction and then practice for the students. This method works well for high school and college-level students looking to improve their skills through support and practice. I focus on writing, literature and literary analysis instruction, essay writing, and reading.
