About Kane
My name is Kane Haggett. I have a Bachelor of Music, a Masters of Teaching and currently teach high school music. I play and perform trumpet, guitar, piano, vocals and drums. I have a passion for composition and songwriting and believe everyone has the ability to write songs that are unique to them! I have written my own HSC compositions, and recorded my own pop, punk and jazz songs. I enjoy the intricacies of lyric writing; the expression of feelings, the 'easter eggs', the hidden messages, the play-on-words and passion in sharing something creatively when words wouldn't quite cut it. I want to share with you the skills that helped me create a career for myself.

From lyric writing to chord structures, you will learn the skills to write/compose/record your own songs. Through my training and experience as a musician and high school music teacher, I have learned the formulas to writing catchy pop songs, jazz ballads and art music. Together, we will write you a song you can be proud to call your own. - Pop/rock/punk/rap songs and structures - Lyrics and poetic techniques - Orchestral - HSC compositions - Writing habits used by industry best songwriters Lyrical structures, chord progressions, stylistic features, rhythmic motifs, 4-part harmonies, instrument choices, recording and composing programs, music industry, copyright laws, feedback on current works.
