About Ian
I am a dedicated specialist in the craft of post-production, bringing years of industry-level expertise to our sessions. My background is rooted in the "classic" tradition of editing—where discipline, organisation, and a meticulous eye for detail are paramount. My technical proficiency spans the industry’s most respected platforms, including Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro. However, my true skill lies in the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable techniques. I possess a deep understanding of: Narrative Architecture: The ability to find the story within the footage. Visual Aesthetics: Expert-level colour theory and composition. Technical Troubleshooting: Navigating the intricate hurdles of codecs, frame rates, and exports. I am not merely a software operator, but a mentor committed to your growth. My approach is patient, professional, and tailored to help you develop the same high standard of excellence that I demand of my own professional work. Would you like me to highlight a specific project type you’ve worked on, such as short films, commercials, or documentaries?
