About Dharshini
Teaching Tamil is not just my profession — it is something I genuinely enjoy sharing with learners.
Vanakkam! I’m Dharshini, a Tamil language tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, including classroom and online teaching. I hold an M.A. in Tamil and have worked with school students, beginners and adult learners with different learning goals.
I enjoy simplifying Tamil and helping learners feel comfortable with the language, whether they are starting from the basics, trying to speak with confidence, improving reading and writing, or working on school-level Tamil.
I believe every learner progresses differently, so I teach with patience, encouragement and clear guidance. Seeing a student move from hesitation to confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.
My aim is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing and improving step by step.

About the lesson

My classes are personalized, practical and structured according to each learner’s level and goal. I use step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, conversation practice, reading and writing activities, regular revision and simple exercises to make Tamil easy to understand and use.
For Spoken Tamil, I focus on pronunciation, sentence formation, practical vocabulary and everyday conversations. For Reading and Writing, I teach from basic letters and sounds to words, sentences, comprehension and independent writing.
I also teach curriculum-based Tamil for Grades 1–10, including grammar, textbook lessons, homework support, revision and exam preparation. My classes are suitable for complete beginners, school students, adults and learners who already understand some Tamil but want to improve their confidence.
Each one-to-one lesson is adapted to the learner’s pace, with clear guidance, regular practice and supportive feedback throughout the learning journey.
