About Laurel

I have been living and teaching English in Colombia for a year and a half as part of a competitive US government exchange program. I have also lived and worked as an ESL teacher in Spain. I have additional teaching experience as a virtual college-level essay writing tutor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies, as well as a TESOL certificate.

About the lesson

I create personalized lesson plans for beginner and intermediate-level students. We can work on whichever topics you would like to focus on -- grammar, spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, or speaking -- or a combination of any of these topics. My lessons are about enriching your existing skills while focusing on areas where you need improvement.

Laurel is a great teacher. She helped me edit and rework essays I’ve used on important applications. She understands what a student needs and uses that to bring us and our work to our full potential.
