About Whitney
As your Spanish tutor, I bring over six years of dedicated teaching experience to our lessons. My journey with the Spanish language began in my early school years and has evolved into a lifelong passion. I have taught students of all ages and levels, helping them to navigate the complexities of the language while fostering a deep appreciation for its rich cultural context. My approach is interactive and student-centered, focusing on creating a supportive environment where learners can thrive.
Beyond teaching, I am an avid traveler and culture enthusiast. I have spent significant time in Spanish-speaking countries, immersing myself in their diverse cultures and traditions. This firsthand experience enriches my lessons, as I often incorporate cultural anecdotes and real-life examples to make the language come alive. I also enjoy reading Spanish literature and watching Spanish films, which not only enhance my own proficiency but also provide additional resources and recommendations for my students.
In my free time, I love engaging in creative pursuits such as writing and cooking. I often experiment with traditional Spanish recipes, bringing a taste of the language's culture into my kitchen. Writing, particularly in Spanish, allows me to explore new narratives and perspectives, which I eagerly share with my students to inspire their own creative expression.
