About Leah
I am a Spanish tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s in Translation Studies and Healthcare Communication. I teach Spanish to nurses, caregivers, social workers, and community helpers. Lessons focus on patient interaction, medical terminology, emergency language, and compassionate communication. I use practical, scenario-based exercises to simulate real-life healthcare situations. My teaching method focuses on making Spanish learning clear, practical, and enjoyable. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals, whether speaking, writing, reading, or listening. I emphasise pronunciation and conversational skills. For exam preparation, I cover DELE and timed-response strategies, reading comprehension, and listening exercises. Vocabulary and grammar are taught in context to make usage natural. Scenario-based practice prepares students for real-life situations. I also focus on professional and travel Spanish, helping students communicate confidently. Lessons include interactive exercises, role-plays, and feedback. I create a supportive space where questions are welcome. My approach combines theory with hands-on practice. I guide students to recognise mistakes and improve steadily. Every session builds on the last. My goal is fluency and practical language skills.
