About Christy
Hi, I’m Chris — a native English speaker from Ireland with a passion for helping learners feel confident speaking real, natural English.
I’ve worked with students from different countries and levels, and I understand a common problem: many learners study English for years but still feel nervous or confused in real conversations. My focus is helping you bridge that gap.
I specialize in real spoken English — how natives actually talk in everyday life, including natural expressions, conversation flow, and understanding fast speech.
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and practical. I want students to feel relaxed and comfortable so they can improve quickly without pressure.
I’m the founder of Whatsthecraic.ie, a successful online English platform where learners worldwide practice modern, real-life English used by native speakers. This experience has helped me develop effective methods that go beyond textbooks and focus on real communication.

My lessons are focused on helping you understand and use real spoken English, not just textbook English.
Many learners know grammar but struggle when natives speak fast, use slang, or change topics naturally. That’s where my lessons help most — building listening confidence, natural speaking skills, and real conversation ability.
