About Toby
Hi, I’m Toby! Alongside my academic background, I’m deeply interested in AI, prompt engineering and AI agent development, and I’ve gained hands-on experience building AI systems for both personal and professional projects.
I enjoy going beyond simply using AI tools and instead exploring how to make them genuinely useful. I’ve worked on projects involving prompt design, workflow automation and AI agents, experimenting with different approaches to get models to reason, interact with tools and reliably complete real-world tasks.
What I particularly enjoy is taking an idea that could be automated or improved with AI and turning it into something practical. This means thinking carefully about the problem, designing effective prompts and agent workflows, testing different approaches, and iterating until the system actually works reliably.
I’m keen to share this practical experience with others who want to learn how to use AI effectively, build their own agents, and develop the skills needed to work with increasingly capable AI systems.

Want to go beyond simply asking ChatGPT questions and actually learn how to build useful AI systems from scratch?
I’m Toby, a Cambridge Science graduate, with hands-on experience using AI to create real-world personal and professional projects. I’ve spent significant time experimenting with prompt engineering, AI workflows, and agent development. I've learnt what works, what doesn’t, and how to turn ideas into practical systems.
Prompt Engineering
- Writing powerful, reliable prompts
- Getting consistent, high-quality outputs from AI models
- Structuring prompts for complex tasks
- Debugging and improving underperforming prompts
- Building reusable prompt systems and workflows
AI Agents
- Understanding how AI agents actually work
- Designing agent workflows and decision-making systems
- Connecting AI models to tools and external services
- Building agents that can perform multi-step tasks
- Turning an idea into a working AI project
- Testing, debugging and improving agent reliability
Learn by building: Rather than spending hours going through theory, I focus on practical, project-based learning.
We can work on something you actually want to build, whether that’s a personal productivity agent, an automated workflow, a research assistant, a business tool, or simply your first AI agent.
I’ve built and experimented with AI systems for my own projects as well as professional applications, giving me practical experience with the challenges that don’t always show up in tutorials, from getting agents to behave consistently to designing workflows that are genuinely useful.
Send me a message with what you’d like to build or learn, and we can put together a plan around your goals.
