I approach is lesson initially as an individual component then as the lesson progresses I couple it with previous taught subjects lastly I give insights to future lesson by demonstrating how today's lesson will affect future lessons and subjects to highlight importance.
Finally for each subject I attempt to find metaphors that suit each student or a majority of students for better understanding of the material itself.
