About Abhay
I am a professional who launched several brands in India and created the luxury eco-system. Starting in the year 1990, Lacoste was the first international brand to have set up its manufacturing base and retail set up in India. I fortunately had the good opportunity to participate in both activities of setting up the plant a s well as assisting in retail operations. Subsequently, i also as V.P. Operations headed the technology transfer and establishment of a factory (now GIVO) that could manufacture and retail luxury brands like Ferre and Princepe. During my long career, I helped create the NIFT, the Pearl Academy of Fashion and was heading brands like Versace, Corneliani, Trussardi, cadini etc in India.
Besides consulting, I now also operate and teach at India's first and only Luxury Management School. My specializations include fashion, retail, franchise, operations, apparel manufacturing, luxury brands , marketing, communications and business studies.
