About Carlos

I am a trombonist with a special interest in new music; Graduated from the Universidad Panamericana and founding member of Rayuela, collaborating as a performer and composer. As a teacher, I currently contribute to the development of the first Suzuki trombone book. Among some recognitions are third place in the Swisstbone Competition 2020 and residency in the Orquesta de las Américas 2021.

About the lesson

I want you to enjoy playing the trombone in an easy and relaxed way, developing a good sound and educating the ear. I approach the instrumental technique from carefully selected musical pieces depending on your level, tastes and interests.

To guide you in your daily practice, I generate my own audios and videos that will serve as personalized accompaniment, all available in your own Google Drive folder so that you can consult them when you need to. In addition, you will have the opportunity every six months to share virtual recitals with the other students.

On the other hand, if your interest is to prepare to enter a Bachelor of Music, we can focus on preparing you for both the theoretical exam and for audition.

As a teacher I don't require that you know how to read music, that you be a certain age or a certain minimum level. The only thing I need from you is the desire to learn and enjoy music with discipline.

Perfect! My 10-year-old son learned trombone for 3 months with Carlos, and it's been an incredible journey. Carlos is a patient, skilled, and inspiring teacher, he taught my son to play trombone from scratch. He taught him everything he needed to know about trombone, including how to clean it, store it and care for it.
Carlos has patience and a clear understanding of what steps students need to take comfortably and effectively to become better musicians. He can teach in an interesting, easy-to-understand way.
Thanks to Carlos my son even won a talent show at school! Carlos helped him choose a song, explained how to record the trombone, guitar and percussion parts, and even put together the final video for him.
Carlos is an exceptional teacher, his enthusiasm for music is infectious and you feel he tailors each lesson to the student!

Sabe explicar de manera sencilla y clara los ejercicios, haciendo la clase muy interesante y oportuna.
