About Lucas
I have been playing the piano for as long as my memory goes back. I took lessons with several teachers and graduated from the Jean-Philippe Rameau conservatory in Paris. I have since continued to deepen my self-taught practice. I have been giving private lessons since 5 years.
I participated in classical contests, musical internships as well as several solo and group musical performances. Today I take pleasure in performing for events, restaurants, jamming with friends and simply playing for myself. Also a personal trainer, I put my pedagogical and mental preparation skills to good use in my piano lessons.

The piano lessons I offer focus on four general themes:
- Educational explanations: music theory and training techniques.
- Fundamental technical exercises: scales, arpeggios and patterns.
- Song learning: mastery of form, chords and melody.
- Improvisation: stylistic techniques, effects, support, creativity.
So that you can progress in the best conditions, you will need:
- a piano (electric, upright or grand) ideally with weighted keys as well as a height-adjustable chair (ideally an authentic piano stool with four feet).
- an A5 notebook (dotted pages).
- a four-color pen, a pencil and an eraser.
- a good quality video / sound capture tool (phone, tablet or camera) It will allow you to film the exercises that you will have to practice, and to film your own performances when necessary.
- the IRealPro app (14.99), which will serve as a metronome and accompaniment. Indispensable for progress because it allows you to train in music!
- a Music Speed Changer app (free).
Depending on your initial skills, we will determine together the areas to focus on for an effective and exciting progression. Beyond just mastering the instrument, you will progress in all the musical domains that are: music theory, music history, preparation for performance and performance in itself and group play. The musical styles studied will range from popular music to jazz and classical.
In general, the development of auditory skills (finding melodies and chords by ear), memorization (learning a lead sheet) and creativity (melodic dialogue, improvisation and composition) are highlighted from the start. The "traditional" music theory and reading skills are developed more punctually as needed.
My goal is to allow you to become a versatile and independent pianist so that you enjoy playing and practicing with diligence and creativity all the more.

Lucas est un très bon pédagogue et qui propose une méthode permettant de faire rapidement des progrès.
