About Michael
I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Music in Composition. I have performed with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and Nota Bene Baroque Players. I have had my compositions read by the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony, Penderecki String Quartet and others.

I use whole-body approaches to learning piano technique and the neuroscience of learning to improve effectiveness of lessons. I have experience teaching students of all ages, from young beginners to adult learners. I also have experience working with students with learning disabilities and autism. Lessons are geared to the individual student's pace, abilities and goals. Expect lessons to cover a wide variety of repertoire, including classical, jazz, pop, blues, contemporary, and other styles. Students learn both how to play and how the music works, the history behind it, and even how to compose their own music!
