About Dmitry
I'm a relaxed easy going person. I don't believe in professionalism. I believe in kindness, support, and putting the PLAY back into "playing music". I never went to music school, so you won't be learning about how to read music. In short, I will teach you everything I know, which includes: learning to hear the chord progressions (regardless of what key we're in). We start with identifying if the song is in MAJOR (happy) or MINOR (sad), then we identify the ROOT chord (the main note that the entire song is built around). That's a really important part of playing music. We don't read music in these courses. We only memorize the chord structures of songs, and then play them in the way that feels natural to YOU on the guitar. I really want you to FEEL the music.

I started playing guitar at age 17. I played for about an hour every day since then. I'm 35 now. Over the years, I've been tinkering with making guitar EASY and ACCESSIBLE for beginners. I've gone through adapting my tuning to drop D (so you can easily play power chords), then... to open tuning (where the the open strings play out a major chord (with no effort)), to my OWN system, which uses even fewer fingers than Open Tuning! It's SO easy.
