I have known Faten for approximately one year through my work with People2People International. While I haven’t met her in person, we communicate on a regular basis by phone, video and messaging. She is very savvy, highly organized and extremely reliable. Whenever I need something from her, she responds within hours, if not in minutes, despite the 8 hour time difference. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. There are few people I trust implicitly, but Faten is one of them.

Ms. Faten is very serious about learning and repetition, but also quite joyful in giving the lessons with much laughter. She’s also been most patient with my abysmal pronunciation as a non-native speaker, and is quick to pause the lesson to recapitulate if something has been missed.

Faten and I became Facebook friends a while back. I spoke minimal Arabic, and she spoke no English. However, she became very good at speaking slowly and clearly without localisms so that I could understand her and slowly build my vocabulary. She is also very good at using Google Translate to help me learn a new word or to understand what I want to say in English. She is a very patient and kind person and teacher, and she has also proven herself very reliable at keeping appointments, which many Middle Easterners are not. I also feel good that the money she earns from teaching Arabic is an absolute lifeline for her family after the Israelis destroyed their home for no good reason. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I've only had a few sessions with Faten so far, but she has proven herself to be prompt, reliable, patient, and encouraging. I look forward to continuing to work with her, and I would recommend her to others.
