About Niva
I am a guitar tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, and I also perform and compose regularly. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies, which has given me a strong foundation in both technique and musical expression. My teaching focuses on helping students see music as a creative and lifelong skill. I work with both beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs and goals. I emphasize technique, musicality, and theory, while also encouraging improvisation and personal expression. Every lesson is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence on the instrument. Beyond technique, I help students use the guitar as a tool for self-expression and emotional connection. I aim to make learning enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful, ensuring each student feels supported and motivated. My students learn not just to play, but to understand, interpret, and connect with music. Performing and composing alongside teaching allows me to bring real-world experience into my lessons. I believe that a love of learning is just as important as skill development. My goal is to guide every student toward mastering the guitar while discovering their own musical voice.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students enjoy and master the guitar while exploring their unique musical voice. I tailor lessons to each student’s skill level, from beginners to advanced players. I guide learners through classical and jazz styles, helping them develop strong technique, musical understanding, and creativity.
I emphasize music as a tool for emotional expression and stress relief. Students learn to use the guitar to express feelings, build confidence, and discover their creative potential. I introduce exercises for improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling, which make learning engaging and meaningful.
I help students develop a solid foundation in music theory, sight-reading, and ear training. Alongside technique, I encourage exploring rhythm, phrasing, and dynamics to make playing more expressive. Lessons combine structured practice with freedom for experimentation and personal expression.
I support students in reaching their goals, whether performing, composing, or simply enjoying music. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, inspiring, and growth-focused. Every student receives guidance, motivation, and practical tools to excel on their musical journey.
