• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I have a keen interest in subjects related to Computer Science primarily Web Development. I remember when I was in 9th standard, we had a subject called "Introduction to Computer" where I got the basic understanding of computers but deep down I've had many questions in my mind like - "How actually the computer works ? How the internet & web works? What is website?" . I wanted to get more knowledge about computers so I enrolled in Computer Sciences in my 11th and12th standard. Later, I took CS in graduation. I thought that this could boost my knowledge of computers but soon I realised I must do this on my own. When I was in my 2nd semester I met a person who had a similar interest like me so we both started learning Web Development & i literally enjoyed it. Since then, I never looked back. Worked on so many projects and taught people about Web Development on Superprof. All of this has ultimately increased my passion and interest for this subject.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  The motivation behind me is my own struggle in learning things from scratch. There are a lot of free resources present on the internet which can help you learn things but still some of us struggle to find the right content, where to start, and so many questions revolve in our mind. But when I learnt all these things after a lot of struggle, I decided that I will not let this happen to other people like me who are either struggling or confused. And that's why I chose teaching through Superprof to help others and provide myself with financial support.

• How does your work help society?

  I help people in understanding things from the basics which helps them to be better at their work. I started teaching on Superprof a long time ago and I noticed some people are not able to pay the full fees for some reasons and this never became their problem in learning from me. I started giving discounts to some people and it really helped them. Also I never ask for the fees in advance so they feel comfortable on this platform. I taught my friends at a very minimal fee, sometimes for free to help them. I give people insight in the industry, share my experience and make them understand how things work in the real world. So, they have the right mindset for it.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  When I think of a role model, the faces that come to my mind are my family & friends. They have always supported me in my work and also helped me to reach this position. Whatever I have, the skills, the mindset, the freedom it's all because of them. They never pressured me to do a particular thing, they let me choose my own path and I am very grateful to them for all of this, and my life.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Except teaching, I do many things to keep myself entertained . Some of these hobbies are Singing, Dancing, Travelling, Cycling and Cooking.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Well, there was a Javascript student of mine from Uttar Pradesh who needed help in understanding the language better so that he could get placed as a front-end developer. I made him understand the language and helped him throughout. I taught him for around 1.5 months and made him capable of giving an interview. After a month he texted me "Thank you so much for helping me out... I'm now placed in a company 🤧" . This instantly made me happy. Incidents like this make me think that I'm on the right track. I can never forget that day.
