About Harry
I’m Harry, born and raised in Auckland, and currently living in the AKL CBD. I got into tutoring after realizing just how much of a nerd I am when it comes to grammar, language, speech, and writing. I’m almost a perfectionist—if you must. Tutoring is a part-time gig for me, as I work full-time as a hairdresser, making people feel fabulous—almost like a therapist, except you walk out with great hair instead of homework. I also run a bridal hair business on the side (love what I do). In my spare time, I love to read (currently about to finish Atomic Habits), paint, and indulge in the great outdoors—whether it’s hiking, walks, or beach days. I’ve also recently started getting into running. Everyone around me tells me, “Whatever you do, even if it’s day one, you go 100% in.” And that’s something I stand by. Hopefully, this gives you confidence in me and a better idea of who I am.

Everyone learns differently—you can’t teach two people the exact same way. That’s why it’s important to adapt to each student’s unique learning style, and this is where I come in. I have a strong understanding that a single concept can be taught in multiple ways, and I will explore every approach until it fully makes sense. I am patient and passionate about helping people not just learn, but truly understand. After all, without understanding, learning is just memorization.
