About Tavian
With over 4 years of experience teaching French and a Graduate Diploma in French Language Teaching, I bring creativity and energy into every lesson. I’m especially passionate about pronunciation coaching, where I blend language with the beauty of sound. Music, rhythm, and phonetics play a central role in how I help students find their true voice in French. I use French songs, tongue twisters, and poetry to sharpen pronunciation and improve accent. These tools make learning fun and help students feel the natural flow of the language. My sessions are interactive and filled with rhythm-based techniques that boost intonation and fluency. Whether you're struggling with tricky sounds or aiming for native-like delivery, I can guide you step by step. My approach to teaching French focuses on helping students understand the language deeply, not just memorize it. I use a mix of grammar practice, real-life conversation, and engaging reading to make learning effective and enjoyable. I believe in making students comfortable so they can grow confident in using French in everyday and professional settings.
We explore classic French literature to improve reading skills and cultural understanding. I also include news articles to build vocabulary and keep lessons connected to the modern world. For those who enjoy expressing themselves, I offer creative writing exercises to develop fluency and imagination. Debate and discussion tasks help strengthen speaking skills and critical thinking.
I design lessons based on the learner’s goals—whether it's for career growth, travel, or personal interest. I especially support learners who are passionate hobbyists or professionals needing French for work or study. I encourage them to go beyond the basics and think in French. Each session is interactive, with grammar, writing, and vocabulary all linked to real contexts.
With regular feedback and positive reinforcement, students become more accurate, expressive, and confident in their use of the language. My aim is to make learning French a journey that inspires growth and curiosity.
