About Oisin
I have lived and worked in France, so I teach French as it is actually spoken rather than straight from a textbook. I have five years of teaching experience and an MA from the University of Galway.
Most usefully for a beginner: I learned French as an adult myself. I remember exactly where it gets confusing, and I know how to get you past it — because I have been through it.
I have lived, worked and studied across Ireland, Spain, France and Vietnam, so I am comfortable teaching people from all backgrounds and at any starting point.

I teach relaxed, one-to-one French lessons for complete beginners and early learners. If you have never spoken a word of French, or tried before and lost your confidence, this is built for you.
The focus is on getting you speaking and understanding from the very first lesson. We build real, usable French — greetings, everyday conversation, the words you actually need — rather than drilling grammar tables until you lose heart. Every lesson is shaped around you: your pace, your reasons for learning, and the things you want to be able to say.
Lessons are available online, anywhere, or in person around the Midlands — Athlone, Mullingar, Tullamore, Portlaoise and nearby. The first chat is free, so we can work out what you want and whether we are a good fit.
