About Marcus
I am a Master’s-qualified (Level 7) lecturer, producer, and engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in the music industry. Alongside my academic background in education, I’ve built a career working across artist projects, commercial media, and major labels, with releases on Warner 679, Anjunadeep, Swing City Records, and Jalapeño Records, and credits including BBC, FIFA, Jaykae, and Local. I teach because I believe music technology and production are best learned through a balance of creative freedom, technical precision, and real-world context. Too often, students are taught software without understanding how the industry actually works. My aim is to bridge that gap—helping students develop not only strong production skills, but also professional workflows, critical listening, and the confidence to make creative decisions that stand up in commercial and academic environments. As a lecturer, I bring structure, clarity, and proven teaching methods to every session, while my industry experience ensures everything you learn is current, relevant, and practical. Whether a student’s goal is further study, professional release, or personal creative growth, I’m passionate about guiding them towards a sound that is authentic, polished, and ready for the real world.

Why Choose Me as Your Music Technology & Production Tutor With over 20 years of professional experience in music production, I bring real-world industry knowledge into every lesson. My work includes collaborations with recognised artists such as Local and Jaykae, projects for international brands like FIFA, and official releases on respected labels including Warner 679, Anjunadeep, Swing City Records, and Jalapeño Records. I specialise in Logic Pro and Ableton Live, tailoring each session to the student’s goals—whether you’re a complete beginner, an aspiring producer, or looking to refine advanced production, mixing, and workflow techniques.
