About Alice
I grew up in an interesting house with a mother who loved literature, a father who was a stickler for grammar and from a young age I helped my Au Pairs, who wanted to improve their English. I love reading and I have 9 years of experience talking to people and winning them over, over the phone and in person. Conversation and building rapport is my main skill. My friends and family turn to me for help with wording important communications, such as letters, emails and CV’s. I achieved A* in English and English literature at GCSE level, so would be suited to those who mainly want to improve their spoken and written English for job opportunities and to improve English as their second language.

I have a simple methodology, which in essence comprises of learning/listening, practising via written and verbal communication, reflecting on the main areas of improvement, than re-learning and practising until it comes naturally. I will focus on the areas you struggle with the most or the areas you want to improve on the most e.g. formal and informal language, sentence structure, annunciation, punctuation and more.
