About Alexandria
Lesson Structure
Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and learning pace. My lessons are structured to include a balance of listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. I also offer flexible lesson plans based on student progress and goals, whether they're preparing for exams, aiming to improve conversational skills, or developing proficiency for professional purposes.
Qualifications and Experience
I bring several years of experience teaching Chinese to students of different age groups and proficiency levels. My experience includes working with teens preparing for exams as well as adults looking to improve their business-level Mandarin. I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning journey, focusing on helping them achieve confidence and fluency.

Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Style

Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I employ a combination of conversational practice, cultural immersion, and structured grammar lessons to help students develop both fluency and accuracy. For beginners, I focus on foundational skills like pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and sentence structure, ensuring they have a strong base before progressing. For more advanced learners, I incorporate real-world scenarios, reading materials, and complex conversations to help deepen their language skills.
I also integrate elements of Chinese culture, history, and traditions into my lessons to make the language more meaningful and engaging. Students are encouraged to speak as much as possible, and I provide constructive feedback to help them improve quickly.
