About Sofia
My name is Sofia, I study Chinese language and East Asian culture at one of Russia’s leading universities for Asian studies. I’ve been teaching Chinese for over 3 years, helping students at different levels — from complete beginners to those preparing for exams. I’ve successfully passed the EGE (Unified State Exam) in Chinese twice and helped others do the same. My students have improved grades, passed HSK exams, and gained confidence in speaking. I’ve also been a winner in national and international Chinese language contests, which strengthened my academic background and love for the language. What drives me most is seeing students finally understand — when characters start to make sense and Chinese becomes not a wall of symbols, but a world you can explore.

Sophia is awesome. She explains things clearly, no pointless stuff, and actually helps you understand, not just memorize. Thanks to her, I finally figured out the tones and stopped sounding like a tired duck. Chinese has actually started being useful I can watch dramas without subtitles and chat with native speakers online without using a translator. After her lessons, my brain doesn’t melt, it vibes, because everything finally makes sense. She’s super calm and nice, but still keeps a good pace studying with her isn’t a chore, it’s genuinely fun.
