Hi, I’m Sean! A top 1% intermediate player with over 2 years of experience coaching beginners and intermediate players.
Many players have experience, but not all know how to teach effectively. I specialise in helping beginners and early intermediates improve through structured, step-by-step lessons, personalised exercises, and progress tracking.

Lessons follow my 12-Week Chess Foundations Plan, a step-by-step pathway that helps beginners become confident early intermediates, with exercises, game analysis, and tracked progress.
Using my degree in Business Analytics, I track and analyse the statistics of your games, so you don’t just feel improvement — we can see it on paper. This helps identify strengths, weaknesses, and progress over time.

Perfect! Sean is sn excellent tutor. He has a wonderful manner with his student. He is teaching through games which is the way in which his student seems to learn best. He evaluates each session and changes his format based on what his student needs and the concentration span. Most importantly the student enjoys his company and looks forward to their sessions
Perfect! Sean has been teaching my son for almost 3 weeks now. I found that he was able to engage my son who is only 11 yrs old . He was also able to build a ln excellent rep with hi which is essential in a teacher student relationship. From Zaki’s pov he really enjoys learning with Sean and looks forward to his lessons.
