About Amber
My interest in ASL began from a personal connection within my family. I have a Deaf tia, and growing up with her inspired me to learn ASL so I could communicate with her more effectively and build a stronger, more meaningful connection. That experience developed into a lasting passion for Deaf culture and accessible communication.
Over time, I expanded that passion through formal training and hands-on experience working in special education classrooms and with Deaf and hard of hearing students. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how important clear, inclusive communication is in both educational and everyday settings. Today, I am committed to sharing that knowledge by helping others learn ASL in a supportive, structured, and respectful learning environment.

I am a dedicated and patient ASL instructor committed to helping students build real confidence in signing. Lessons begin with a strong foundation, including the ABCs and essential vocabulary, and gradually progress into practical, everyday communication at a pace that supports your learning. With my background as a Child Development Associate and hands-on experience in special education and working with Deaf and hard of hearing students, I am able to adapt each lesson to meet individual needs and learning styles. My approach is structured, supportive, and engaging, ensuring that each student develops clear, practical skills in a comfortable and encouraging environment. Lessons are available through Zoom or in person in public meeting spaces for your convenience.
