About Wasib
Hi, I’m Wasib! I’m a law and compliance professional based in London, currently working as a Compliance Specialist while training towards qualification as a solicitor.
I have an LLM in Commercial & Corporate Law from Queen Mary University of London, where I achieved Distinctions in three modules. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in areas including corporate law, corporate finance, international tax and commercial law.
Alongside university, I have developed practical experience in compliance and legal risk, including work involving commercial contracts, due diligence, regulatory requirements and international considerations. I’ve also gained experience across different professional and legal environments, which has helped me appreciate how legal principles translate beyond the classroom.
I enjoy tutoring because I genuinely like breaking down complicated legal and commercial concepts and helping students reach the point where something that initially seemed confusing suddenly makes sense.
My aim is to create relaxed, supportive lessons where you can ask questions, challenge ideas and work through problems without feeling under pressure. I want to help you become more confident not only in knowing the law, but in analysing it and explaining it clearly :)

My lessons are designed to help you understand the legal and commercial principles behind Financial, Corporate Tax and International Law, rather than simply memorising rules and cases.
I tailor each session around your course, level and learning objectives. We can work through difficult concepts, legislation and cases, practise problem questions, develop essay arguments, improve legal writing and prepare for exams or coursework.
For Financial Law, lessons can cover areas such as financial regulation, corporate finance, banking and lending, securities and the legal framework surrounding financial transactions. For Corporate Tax, I can help you understand the underlying legal principles, tax structures and issues that arise in a corporate context. International Law sessions can cover key principles, sources of international law, jurisdiction, treaties, state responsibility and the application of international legal rules.
My focus is on helping you understand why the law works in a particular way and how to apply it to unfamiliar scenarios. We can also work through your own lecture material, reading lists or practice questions so that the lessons are directly relevant to your course.
Whether you need help understanding a challenging topic, preparing an assignment or getting ready for an exam, I’ll adapt the lessons to your individual needs.
