About Salim
I am currently a first-year law student at the University of Las Vegas Nevada, and I was accepted to the program under an academic scholarship. Previously, I attended the University of Toronto, where I completed a degree in History and Law, with minors in Philosophy and Human Geography, and ultimately graduated with a distinction. I have always had a passion for reading and writing, but earlier on in my academic journey, I found it difficult to articulate the points I wished to make through essays and other writing projects. However, by working hard, finding the right help and establishing personal writing methods, I was able to come into my own. My experiences with writing dozens of essays throughout university, holding jobs in law firms and newspapers and rigorously studying for the law school entry exam (LSAT) have shaped me to become a capable and confident writer, and one who would be excited to share their techniques and tips with younger students aspiring to pursue higher education.

As a law student, I understand that writing a strong academic essay is a challenge to even the most capable English readers and writers; so, my aim is to teach students simple ways to significantly ease the writing process and consistently produce better final results. Specifically, I believe that formulating a solid plan and structure prior to writing the essay itself is crucial. My classes will teach students how to optimally prepare for an essay of any topic or academic level, thereby enabling them to effectively advance a thesis and glide through high-quality essay writing at a more efficient pace.
