About Annalise
I am a young, charismatic tutor with a passion for learning. I have a great rapport with children and adults alike, working on the basis of mutual respect to reach mutual understanding.
My background also places me well to help prepare students for various admissions and scholarship processes, having been through many, culminating in my acceptance to Oxford university.
It is integral to my ethos that I will never take on a student unless I truly believe I am the best person to help them achieve their goals and feel more confident in their ability.
I also bring a wealth of SEN knowledge, shown through my abundantly empathetic but disciplined approached. I am experienced with a range of neurodiverse dispositions such as ADHD and ASD alongside conditions such as Epilepsy. Having ADHD myself, I have had to adapt to become very skilful in the way I absorb information, and work with others to help them discover their own techniques.

I am Passionate about learning, which means I approach teaching as a dialogue between the student and I as opposed to a top-down process. I believe it is fundamentally important to first understand your student fully as an individual, with strengths and areas where they would benefit from help before teaching begins. The time that I spend thinking and planning on how best to help a tutee extends far beyond the scheduled session, including researching content, strategies and resources.
I also bring a wealth of SEN knowledge, shown through my empathetic approach and dynamic sessions.
