About Thivithra
My name is Thivithra, and I am a Law graduate with a strong passion for the English language and teaching young learners. I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, encouraging, and confidence-building—especially at a young age.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping children understand, express themselves, and grow more confident in their communication skills. English is an important foundation for both academic success and everyday life, and I find it very rewarding to be part of a child’s learning journey. My goal is to create a safe and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
I am patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s needs, and I always aim to make lessons engaging and easy to understand. I look forward to helping my students develop strong English skills and a love for learning.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and engaging. I focus on building a strong foundation in English while ensuring lessons are enjoyable and suited to each child’s learning pace and ability.
I use interactive and age-appropriate teaching methods, including storytelling, guided reading, simple writing exercises, and conversational practice. Lessons are structured with clear objectives, revision of previous topics, and gradual progression. I place strong emphasis on improving vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading comprehension, and confidence in speaking.
Each lesson typically lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and learning needs.
I am a Law graduate with strong proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, and experience working with structured learning materials. My academic background has strengthened my analytical thinking, language accuracy, and ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.
My lessons are suitable for preschool and primary school students, including beginners and early learners. I tailor my teaching approach to suit different age groups and learning levels, ensuring each student receives personalised guidance and support.
