About Riyaan
Growing up in India, I experienced first-hand the power of education in shaping opportunities and futures. This has motivated me to give back by helping others access the same tools that have been instrumental in my journey. Teaching is not just about delivering content but about fostering understanding and confidence. I strive to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable to explore complex ideas, especially in law and research.
My approach is personalized, beginning each session by understanding the student's needs and setting clear goals. I believe in tackling challenging topics head-on, breaking them down into manageable parts, and guiding students through them with patience and clarity. Having navigated academic life from a unique cultural background, I also understand the importance of different perspectives in learning, and I aim to make my sessions as inclusive and supportive as possible.

My lessons are usually hour-long sessions over Zoom meant for high school/undergraduate students. My specialty lies in two areas: law and research work. As a graduated law student from Cambridge, I can easily help with improving the style of writing answers which attract the top grades. In research, I have published numerous papers as well as scored a 75% in my final year dissertation. On top of this, I started a research company in my gap year which helped high school students with research work. I strongly encourage interactive sessions and often frame the session in the style of a legal Cambridge interview, allowing for greater participation and a more holistic understanding of the facts. I specialise in Criminal, Tort, Contract, Constitutional and Human Rights Law.
