As a student who started studying English from zero, I recommend Christiaan language lessons because of three main reasons. First, his classes integrate writing, speaking, and reading, so that you develop the three skills at the same time. Second, he plans the lessons based on your abilities and the difficulties you might encounter when learning. This means that each lesson is personalised. Third, Christiaan wants you to have fun during the lessons, which means he will choose topics of your interest to practice. In this way, you learn the vocabulary you need to express yourself while enjoying the material content. Highly recommended!

Christiaan is an excellent language teacher who really puts in the time and effort to understand how you (as a student) learn things effectively. He takes a hybrid approach to teaching to ensure that you can meet your goals (e.g. to get a certification) as well as giving you the grounding in the language so that you can use the language out in the country you're learning for, helping you to build confidence, as well as your lexicon.

Really, the results speak for themselves. I was able to make much faster progress in my own studies than I had been able to do by studying on my own, or attending larger classroom classes.

I would highly recommend Christaan as a language teacher. He is very patient and fun to speak with, which makes the lessons enjoyable. He uses a mix of teaching methods, including reading texts, grammar, and speaking so that you are able to practice multiple skills and do not become bored or frustrated. I very much enjoy our lessons and would recommend him highly to other language learned, regardless of their language level.

Christiaan clearly loves teaching! He always explains grammar in an easy to understand way, yet he can also give a deeper explanation if I ask him about it. I really like that, since I like to understand things thoroughly. I also find the manner in which we practice pronunciation very helpful.
