About Brian
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from Hamilton College, a small liberal arts school known best for it’s writing program and rank in the top twenty liberal arts colleges nationwide.
After college I went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Education at Lesley University in Cambridge Massachusetts. There I learned how to teach and many methods for successful teaching.
After teaching world history for several years in Boston, I moved to Shanghai to help Chinese Students perfect their English. It was there in Shanghai I spent the next ten years, learning enough Mandarin to be able to offer bilingual one-on-ones.

Lesson 1 is all about finding the student’s skill level, in both written and oral English. After this assessment lessons will be a combination of phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, and content development. Each student will have a different plan and different expectations to maximize results.
Results will determine each student’s path of learning and success will be measured individually and will be unique for each student.
Requests for lessons in specific content areas will of course be honored.
