About Joan
I have been giving private lessons and assistance in English as a foreign language for over a year, including helping prepare business-people for giving presentations in English, etc. As a language learner myself, I have a very good understanding of grammar, learning methods, and what is needed in order to succeed in language learning.

As a language learner myself who has previously struggled with confidence issues in a foreign language, I understand what is required in order to succeed with language learning and so I aim to provide a safe, informal and relaxed environment in my classes, where students can learn with as little stress as possible. I believe practice is the best way to learn, so the focus will be on using the language for communication - although grammar is important and will also be a priority in classes, the first step is to get over your fear and start speaking.
