About Nicole
Hello there, I am an energetic ESL teacher from Toronto and I have a passion for both language teaching and language learning. This means that I truly understand the difficulties of additional language acquisition along with how to deal with these issues. I currently speak/am learning 6 languages including English, French, Polish, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean. I like to bring my own experience and enthusiasm towards language learning into the classroom and use it as a way to relate to my students. Knowing that I was once (and with certain languages still am) in their shoes creates a greater sense of community and would allow students to be more comfortable in the classroom. My bubbly personality along with the fact I am a people-person also allows for students to feel more at ease and less tense in the classroom. I love to joke around! After all, language learning does not need to be stressful or hard, especially in a comfortable environment.

We'd start our lessons with an informal needs assessment, we will spend our first class getting to know each other :) Once I see which areas of English you need the most help with, we will focus on those ones. We will adjust the lessons based on your progress, moving as slow or as fast as you need to fully succeed. If you ever have anything in particular you'd like to focus on, feel free to let me know in advance and I can adjust lessons accordingly. If we are practicing daily conversation, we will have normal discussions over video call. If a lesson needs to be more grammar-specific, I will create a personalized worksheet for you that will be followed during our lesson. I look forward to working with you and helping you become an English master!
