About Alissa
Performance work shaped my transition into teaching full time. I have helped 356 students find their voice in a new language.
My background includes a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. I cover idioms, listening practice, and conversational fluency for all levels.
Exam preparation for DELF and DALF is a core competency I offer. Reading comprehension and travel French are also key parts of my curriculum.

Students often fail because they lack real context for their sounds. I fix this by emphasizing natural dialogue over memorization. We start by deconstructing the nasal sounds and liaison patterns that usually trip up beginners. You will practice your accent through constant, targeted feedback during our sessions.
Cultural context provides the background necessary for true fluency. I ensure your reading comprehension matches your speaking ability.
My role involves guiding you through the complexities of French syntax in a very structured way. We will spend time on role play to simulate real-life scenarios. Every bit of practice is intended to build your confidence for your next trip or exam. I look forward to seeing your progress.
