About Akua
I am a 16-year-old girl who is a big math nerd. Throughout my entire school career, I always loved mathematics, and I find joy in helping people learn topics in math too. I was the number 1 student in my geometry class and scored 5’s in both my algebra and geometry state tests (being in the top 8% in my state to get a high 5). I can teach anything from addition and subtraction all the way up to logarithms and right triangle trigonometry. I am currently studying precalculus, so hopefully, I can tutor it too.

A lot of teenagers and kids learn best visually so I like to show graphs and real world practice problems to help my clients understand the concept. In a typical lesson plan I like to start off with what my client struggles with the most and then work our way up connecting back to how that specific concept relates to the unit. My lessons target kids from k-11 and possibly 12.
