About Beth
I am a science teacher with qualified teacher status, with experience tutoring maths. I have experience working with adult learners and students with special education needs and mental health issues, and tailor my tutoring methods to each individual student. I also have experience of tutoring adult learners, Maths GCSE equivalency and Human Biology BTEC A-level equivalent. Clean and current enhanced DBS check. Member of the Chartered College of Teaching, Royal Society of Chemistry Scholar, Qualified Teacher Status with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. Degree in Natural Science: Chemistry with Biology.

My main goal in tutoring is to find gaps in learning and build tutees' confidence. Often students have misconceptions in Maths and Science or have missed aspects of learning in a school environment and tutoring in these areas can really help students thrive and their confidence increase.

Perfect! Beth is great at breaking things down until you understand them. She is patient and great at what she does. I thought I would never be able to learn Maths properly after failing GCSE Maths twice and thinking it was me. Beth made me realise it can often be the way it’s taught because she makes things I once found complicated seem easy.
- Picked up on standard form quickly and was able to do the questions easily.Beth's response :
To improve, times table practice would be useful for the non-calculator aspects.

Beth is hard working, organised and trustworthy. She is friendly, reassuring and motivational. She has a gentle, encouraging approach to education, and is also adaptable to individual's needs. I'd recommend Beth if you or your child need to develop confidence and knowledge in maths and science.
Beth tutored my eldest daughter for her GCSE's 2 years ago and helped her achieve some very good grades. This year she has tutored my twin son and daughter for their GCSE maths and science. All my children have enjoyed being taught by Beth. I have found her to be a good reliable hard working tutor.
