I do not offer free introductory lessons. As a fully qualified teacher with over 20 years of classroom teaching experience across all levels, together with more than 15 years of successful private tutoring, I believe my qualifications, experience, and proven results provide prospective clients with a clear indication of the standard of tuition I offer. While I appreciate the intention behind Superprof’s free introductory lesson policy, I have found that it can inadvertently disadvantage experienced tutors. In some instances, introductory sessions may be used to obtain teaching advice, strategies, or resources without any commitment to continue with tuition. As a professional educator, I place significant value on the expertise, preparation, and intellectual property developed through many years of teaching. Instead, I am pleased to provide testimonials, references, evidence of students’ successes, and details of my professional qualifications, including my Cert Ed., to help prospective clients make an informed decision with confidence. However, I accept a phone call or zoom call either a potential student/parent as a bonding session to determine whether I find the pupil suitable and vice versa.
