About Lila
As a medical student, I have always been passionate about science and this passion stayed with me throughout my 5 years' worth of experience as a tutor.
I have taught in many tuition centers around London and I am currently working part-time as a GCSE/ A-level Biology and Chemistry tutor. I have been working privately as a tutor at home, helping many students excel in their exams and achieve exceptional results.
I am also very keen to help any aspiring medic out there interested in pursuing medicine as a future degree. I can offer advice and support alongside helping you excel in your exams and achieve the best results you can!

Whether you are studying Biology at GCSEs or A-levels, it can be both challenging and overwhelming for many students to grasp and understand the vast amount of content required to learn for exams.
My aim is to make excelling in your Biology exams easier and less overwhelming. I focus on helping you understand the basic principles of the content, using the relevant exam board specification as the foundation for my lessons.
My lessons are delivered online and typically last for 2 hours. I have a flexible and tailored approach to teaching as I strongly believe that every student is different and it is important to value and consider how they learn and process information.
Another important aspect of my teaching is to provide resources and extra coaching for students who are unfamiliar with how to study and absorb information effectively. Learning how to study is just as important as studying the subject itself as it will save you time and effort in the long term.
After you feel confident with the content, I will move on to helping you master the exam technique and practice exam questions from an exam bank I will also provide. Closer to exam time, I will also offer condensed revision lessons, going through a number of topics collectively to help you establish links between concepts in biology.

Lila is hands down the best tutor I’ve ever had! When I first started A-Level Chemistry, I was completely overwhelmed and struggling to keep up, but she turned everything around for me. Her way of explaining complex concepts is so clear and straightforward, and she always made sure I fully understood before moving on. Also the lessons are so flexible so if I wanted online she’d be able to facilitate a last minute online lesson during my free periods at school!
What really sets her apart is how much effort she puts into her students. She created a personalised study timetable just for me, packed with resources, practice questions, and her own notes, which were honestly better than my fat a level chem and bio aqa textbook! She’s super patient and encouraging, and her lessons were always engaging and tailored to my needs.
